#1 Ryan Doty - Sharks

Attended Corvallis HS and graduated in 2004. My senior year in the 2003 season I was part of a talented football team that went 8-1 (best Corvallis record since 1986) and qualified for the playoffs (first time since 1992). Even though it was a good season it sucked retiring from football without winning a championship game. After the season my coach gave me a scholarship that reflected on not only my athletic ability but my work ethic and dedication on the field as well as in the classroom. The scholarship encouraged me to attend college and paid for my first term at LBCC.
During my two year stay at Linn Benton I walked onto the basketball team and played what I thought was my last bit of organized competitive sports... until I heard about the NNFL! Hearing about this league was awesome considering I never thought I would play organized football again. After looking into the league I decided to play and wound up on the Power Valley Sharks. From day one with the Sharks I knew I had found the right team, lots of hard workers and more importantly lots of hard hitters!
Its been great being apart of the shark brotherhood I have made some life long friends. The NNFL has been a great way for me to fulfill my love for football and has created lots of great memories at the same time. My first two seasons in this league have been good but unlike high school i don't plan on retiring before I win a championship game... Third seasons a charm!
The Sharks named Ryan Doty unanimously Team MVP in 2010. He is the scrappiest player in the league, giving 110 percent every down. I wish we had more guys like Ryan on our team! |
